Classes
Lekha Writing Centers holds several kinds of classes during the year. This fall, we are holding our regular Creative and Critical writing classes during after school hours.
Camps
Lekha Writing Centers holds Summer Writing Camps in locations around the San Francisco Bay Area. While we are an academic camp, we encourage our students to explore their creativity and the possibilities of writing.
Enrichment Programs
Lekha conducts enrichment programs through schools, parks and recreation centers, and other organizations. Most enrichment programs are run as eight-week session programs, though some of our partners have requested customizing workshops to their needs.
Online Classes
Lekha offers online participation for each of its classes. To join, please register for your class. On your class days, you’ll join our classroom by video conference using Skype.
Our Publishing Department
Lekha Publishers is a small, independent publishing house, founded in 2002 on the belief that children and youth can accomplish anything by using their imaginations. Our goal is to publish quality books written for or by children.
Lekha Publishers works with the Lekha Writing Centers to publish worthy young authors. We publish anthologies of student work on a regular basis and highlight specific student writers by publishing solo books. In addition to publishing students’ works, Lekha gives voice to talented and unknown authors, including adult authors, who write for children or teens.
Lekha takes pride in the meticulous effort we put into each and every book we publish to ensure that all of our books are the highest possible quality. We aim to engage, entertain, and educate our readers with children’s books and young adult literature of style and substance.
